Solar Fun

From the St Louis Edition:

August 21st, we joined some friends to watch the total solar eclipse.

Taken with the phone through solar glasses.

The shadows were in the shape of the eclipse!

A very eerie feeling fell as the sun neared total eclipse. It felt like a cloud was coming, but there was no cloud and it was completely sunny.

As darkness fell, the dogs started howling, the crickets chirped and the
street lights came on. The totality lasted for almost 2 min.

During totality.

It was one of the neatest experiences and so worth making an effort to go see it!

  1. Thank you for sharing! Those shadows were amazing. I understand you thought about the eerie feeling. We had that feeling, too, even though we couldn't see the whole eclipse. It did get darker and cooler. It was neat.
