A Field Trip to the Dairy Museum

The Southwest Dairy Museum in Sulpher Springs has always been a fun place to go visit!  On Wednesday, Mom and I (Rachel) went there with Esther Grace, Emma, Corrie, and James.  It was a blast!

The two big cows out in front of the museum.

The museum included several videos about dairy farming and the process of making cheese and ice cream.  There were also displays of an old fashioned kitchen and barn, butter churns, butter molds, and ice cream machines.

A milking machine simulator.  You can sick your finger in and see what a milking machine feels like.

Emma watching the cow get milked.

There were dairy-themed rubber stamps for the kids to play with.

Of course, the best part of the museum is the cute, little ice cream parlor.  The tour would not be complete without ice cream cones to finish off with!

Everyone enjoying their ice cream.  James wanted some too!

Emma and Corrie were so cute in their matching dresses.

We finished the day by eating lunch and playing at a park just down the road from the museum.

James is such a happy baby!

Emma's favorite book to read when she comes to Grammie's house is "The Little Red Caboose".  It was so fun for her to get to see a real caboose at the park!

Heading home.

We had a lovely day!  It was so fun to spend extra time with the little nieces and nephew!
