Adele Jean

From the St Louis Edition:

Little Adele Jean Benner was born January 11th, at 9:28 am after only 4 1/2 hours of labor!  She weighted 8 lbs 11 oz and was 20 3/4 in long.
I'm so thankful to the Lord for helping me through it because I was so tired to start out with.  I was recovering from a very severe earache.  God gave me strength!

She is beautiful!  :-)

Soon after birth.  I felt really good afterwards...not at all like I had just had a baby!

Daddy and his little girl!

Just the three of us before Danny came home.

Danny meeting his little sister.

Inspecting her...

He loves her!

Giving her a kiss.

Daddy with his hands full!

Little Del!

Skyping with my family!  We hardly had time to tell them I was in labor before we told them that she was born!  :-)

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.  Psalms 100:5

A Walk With Danny

From the Saint Louis Edition:

We were able to visit my family in Texas at Christmas time!  We enjoyed spending time together playing lots of games, going on walks, and just talking and hanging out.

We picked a most blustery day to go for a walk.

The guys!
Danny gets a lift!

On one of our walks, Aunt Rachel obligingly gave Danny a piggy back ride.  He thought that was the best way to take a walk.

After he got used to them, Danny loved to pet the cats.  It seemed safer to him to pet the tails.

One time, Piglet rubbed on Danny and almost knocked him over.

Danny loves being outside!  Fortunately, we had some lovely days of good weather so he could go enjoy the outdoors.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  Psalms 23:1

Authentic Asian Day

Faith and Esther decided we all needed to experience one day of authentic Asian food, eaten the Asian way and we wore the Asian dress.

Es and Faith spent almost the whole day cooking!
The cooks!
The ingredients
For breakfast, we had pea curry and rice.  For lunch, we had egg and potato curry with rice and for supper, we had chicken curry.  All of it was delicious!

Egg and potato curry.

Yes, we ate with our fingers!

We all picked out a Churidar to wear from Esther and Faith's stash!

It was a really nice day, so we spent some time out in the sun.

Rachel and the babies.

Chai tea and biscuits were served at tea time.  Chai tea is so yummy!

Danny loved chai too!

The two that started it all!
And that was our Asian experience.

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.  Revelations 5:9-10
