A Visit With The Berkemeyers

It was SO much fun to be able to visit the Berkemeyers while I was in Washington. I went up to Lynden on Friday and spent the night. Then I went sight seeing with them on Saturday. I had a wonderful time. Thank y'all for having me!

Friday!

Can you believe that the next three pictures are all the same one? Just a few different angles and different lighting. This is Mt. Baker.

When I mentioned that I had never been to the ocean before, they promptly decided to fix that problem for me. So Friday evening, they took me to Birch Bay to see the ocean. It was beautiful!

Look at all the sea weed.

Emily and I had fun hunting for shells, crabs, and other sea creatures. We found quite a few that weren't open yet, and of course there were a lot that were open. So I brought some back with me.

Building houses out of drift wood. It was a nice little settlement.
The sunset was so beautiful on the water.
"Goodbye world! Goodbye!"
Saturday!!

Saturday morning, Mrs. Berkemeyer, Emily, Elizabeth, and I went to help a friend of theirs cook for a wedding. Then we met up with Joel, Madi, and the girls to go sight seeing.

Washington grows a lot of berries.
Reading while we drive.
Isn't this cute?

Doesn't it look like a whole city?
The picture below is from the other side of the picture above. It's so deceitful.

I will call upon Your name,
And keep my eyes above the waves,
When oceans rise my soul will rest in Your embrace,
For I am Yours and You are mine.

"Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens."
Psalm 148:7, 13
