Our Church Campout

From the St. Louis Edition:

Our church had it's first annual campout in September.
It was our very first time to camp out in a tent so I packed everything we might possibly need.
It was a van full!

We were all camped near each other and shared one fire.

It got so cold that night. We brought the kids into our bed and
piled all the blankets on top to keep warm.

We cooked a yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls and coffee over the fire.

Carrying wood for the fire.

Joel cooking biscuits.

Campfires are one of my favorite parts of camping.
Conversation flows from lighthearted joking to serious conversation and it's a really cozy, comfy
time to be together.

They take this game seriously.

After lunch, our whole group went hiking.

Watching the brave ones swim.

We ended the day with a potluck dinner, campfire singing and a devotional.

Our God comes; he does not keep silence; before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest. Ps 50:3
