A Walk to the Park

From the St. Louis Edition:

One beautiful Saturday afternoon, we took a walk to the park.  Danny loves to play and watch the other kids play.

One of his favorite activities is swinging.

Flying an airplane like Uncle Sam!

He goes up the slide instead of down.

Danny also likes to help Daddy outside.
Steven is building a greenhouse and Danny is the big helper.

A jet!
Somehow that spatula is just the tool needed!

Oops.  Gotta stop and take that call!

Del at One Month

From the St. Louis Edition:

"Please don't take my picture!"

"What's the matter, Del?"

Danny and Del!
Dan loved getting his picture with her.

Love them!

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Ps 139:14

A Snowy Experience

From the St Louis Edition:

We had our first big snow this last weekend and nearly a week later, it's still here.

Danny hasn't really had a snowy experience so I took him out to play.

He stepped into it and fell.
This is what he thinks...

He's not wearing gloves because he always takes them off.
He would only take a step into the snow when I helped him.  But he quickly became more adventurous.

I put my gloves on him to warm his hands...he got his picture with them on and then took them off.

The snow was powdery so our snowman was not very large.

Despite the fact the his first impression was not so pleasant, he didn't want to go inside when it was nap time.  Oh yes, snow is "hot"!

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.  Isaiah 1:18

Adele Jean

From the St Louis Edition:

Little Adele Jean Benner was born January 11th, at 9:28 am after only 4 1/2 hours of labor!  She weighted 8 lbs 11 oz and was 20 3/4 in long.
I'm so thankful to the Lord for helping me through it because I was so tired to start out with.  I was recovering from a very severe earache.  God gave me strength!

She is beautiful!  :-)

Soon after birth.  I felt really good afterwards...not at all like I had just had a baby!

Daddy and his little girl!

Just the three of us before Danny came home.

Danny meeting his little sister.

Inspecting her...

He loves her!

Giving her a kiss.

Daddy with his hands full!

Little Del!

Skyping with my family!  We hardly had time to tell them I was in labor before we told them that she was born!  :-)

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.  Psalms 100:5

A Walk With Danny

From the Saint Louis Edition:

We were able to visit my family in Texas at Christmas time!  We enjoyed spending time together playing lots of games, going on walks, and just talking and hanging out.

We picked a most blustery day to go for a walk.

The guys!
Danny gets a lift!

On one of our walks, Aunt Rachel obligingly gave Danny a piggy back ride.  He thought that was the best way to take a walk.

After he got used to them, Danny loved to pet the cats.  It seemed safer to him to pet the tails.

One time, Piglet rubbed on Danny and almost knocked him over.

Danny loves being outside!  Fortunately, we had some lovely days of good weather so he could go enjoy the outdoors.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  Psalms 23:1
